We often assume that understanding is something we receive, like information handed to us. But in practice, real understanding is something we create together. In this talk, I invite students to look more closely at the words, assumptions and mental models that shape the way we see the world. Many of these feel natural to us, yet they limit our ability to collaborate, to imagine better possibilities and to work toward a shared purpose.

Dr. Miriam Garvi is co-founder of Vision Pioneers and formerly Associate Professor of Global MBA, National Taiwan University with a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Sweden.
She helps leaders and organizations with leadership and vision development, teamwork training, and ESG/CSR.
She recently launched a new training program for Adaptive Game-Changers in Asia, in partnership with the social enterprise DOMI Earth.
She leads a team of academics and professionals in research and consulting work around ESG leadership and purpose-driven organization.
