To promote Chinese culture and enhance the learning and appreciation of Chinese culture among students in general education courses, C. F. Koo Foundation and Zhao Ting Jian Culture Foundation collectively pledged an endowment in 2021 for NTU to establish the “Chair Professorships of Chinese Culture.”
Recipients of the Chair Professorships shall be full-time NTU professors with outstanding academic achievements and at least 10 years of research or teaching experience in a field related to Chinese culture; or internationally renowned scholars who have served in a research/teaching position at NTU for at least one year.
The term of this Professorship is three years, during which the recipient shall teach at least one Chinese culture-themed general education course.
