Fu Ssu-Nien Memorial Chair Professorship

To reward full-time NTU professors with at least 10 years of research or teaching experience in the field of liberal arts and social sciences, NTU established Fu Ssu-Nien Memorial Chair Professorship with the endowment from China Foundation for the Promotion of Education and Culture; internationally renowned scholars who have been newly appointed in a teaching or research position at NTU for over a year are also eligible.

One recipient is selected each year to serve a term of one year.

The Chair Professorship was originally established in 1988 as Hu Shih Memorial Chair Professorship and was conferred exclusively upon the faculty of the College of Liberal Arts. In 2014, it adopted its present name and was expanded to cover the field of social sciences.
