Summary:
Stories are the gateway to change. They inspire, they expose, and they have the power to unite people to take action. But the craft of storytelling is not easy. It requires you as the storyteller to be open and honest with yourself, express vulnerability, and share your life experience in order to find common ground with others.
In this sharing, you will learn the "Public Narrative" technique to compose your own personal narrative to inspire others to action. "Public Narrative" originated from Harvard University Professor Marshall Ganz, who introduced the concept of "Story of Self, Story of Us, and Story of Now" as a means to organize people to make change. We will focus on the topic: "Why do you care about the environment? Why are you called to take action and leadership on this issue?" We will also address the concept of leadership and the role of storytelling within leadership. Come to the sharing with an open mind and the courage to be vulnerable.
